DJ Night
May 19, 2024Over the last 5 years, DJ Night at The Cowboy has become the stuff of legend. The weekly gathering has grown into an international scene with the affluent ski crowd, hippies, cowboys, locals, and the service industry, far from home, all melting together on the dance floor. Steady Jake is the featured DJ most Sundays year-round and has become masterful at reading the room. He always starts with country-western music with older couples 2-stepping and swinging after dinner, then blends in some Motown, rock, disco, hot 100 and eventually spinning some EDM and reggaeton to finish out the night – always sprinkling in a few country music favs along the way. The popular night is free for all with no cover-charge. Must be 21 to enter.
See you on the dance floor!

May 24, 2024WALKER MONTGOMERY TO PLAY SPECIAL POP-UP SHOW AT THE COWBOY BAR ON MAY 24th
Rising Star’s Performance Will Kick-Off Fifth Annual Million Dollar Music Fest Weekend
On Friday May 24th, The Cowboy Bar will host a kick-off party for the 2024 Million Dollar Music Fest weekend featuring break-out honkytonk talent, Walker Montgomery.
Chosen as Country Evolution’s Artist to Watch in 2024, Walker is a singer/songwriter who knows a thing or two about family tradition. As the 24-year-old son of 90s hit-maker, John Michael Montgomery, and nephew of Montgomery Gentry’s Eddie Montgomery, Walker lives up to his heritage, and then some. With recent releases like “Never Again One More Time,” “She Don’t Know,” “Bad Day to Be a Beer,” and the self-penned “Simple Town,” the honey-bourbon vocalist has surpassed 57+ million global streams. In December of 2023 he made his Grand Ole Opry debut, and after this Jackson Hole debut weekend, he will hit the road with Cowboy Bar favorites including Jon Pardi, Jo Dee Messina and Tracy Lawrence.
“We’ve always done a show to kick-off Million Dollar Music Fest weekend,” said The Cowboy Bar’s Justin Smith. “After we confirmed Walker and his band to open Sunday’s Million Dollar Music Fest on the big stage on Town Square, we knew there was no better way to get ready for the weekend than to do this pop-up show. Walker’s got a lot of great music; he’ll get to play longer, and our partner, Wyoming Whiskey might even have some surprises. It’s going to be a great Friday night inside The Cowboy.”
For this special Cowboy Bar show, General Admission tickets will be only $25. A very limited number of reserved VIP tables will be available for $100 per seat. The dance floor will be open to all ticket holders. Tickets will go on sale Wednesday, May 8th at 10am (MT) and may be purchased online at cowboybarjh.com. Doors will open at 6:30pm, with the show starting at 8pm.
The Million Dollar Cowboy Bar, soon to enter its 90th year, is widely regarded as a national treasure and is regularly named one of the top honkytonks in the country. The Million Dollar Cowboy Bar is dedicated to its value and significance as an iconic live music venue in America, by presenting the most iconic names in country music. #saddleup.
