August 19, 2024 BREAKOUT ARTIST, AVERY ANNA TO CO-HEADLINE COWGIRLS FRIDAY NIGHT

FRIDAY NIGHT EMERGING ARTISTS SHOWCASE

Nation’s Only All-Female Country Festival Returns for Third Year

Cowgirls at The Cowboy, the nation’s only all-female country music weekend, returns to Jackson Hole and the stage of the iconic Million Dollar Cowboy Bar on October 3rd, 4th and 5th for the third consecutive year. Nashville-based artist and Jackson Hole favorite, Jenny Tolman is once again curating the event designed to celebrate strong women in music. This year will feature five of the top established and emerging female singers and songwriters in recent country music history, continuing the tradition begun in the previous two years. Friday night will feature full-band performances from Jenny Tolman as well as one of the hottest young artists in today’s country: Avery Anna

Only 20 years old and already attracting attention from esteemed media outlets like Rolling Stone, Billboard, American Songwriter and more, exciting newcomer Avery Anna “further displays promise and prowess” (GRAMMY Awards) on her just-released celebrated debut album, Breakup Over Breakfast. The album features 17 tracks all written or co-written by the “towering, soul-baring tunesmith"(Billboard) and showcases her ability to harness raw emotion and infuse it into a nuanced lyricism well beyond her years. Produced by David Fanning, Breakup Over Breakfast contains stories ranging from romance to rage, penned with a sacred honesty and sung with a soulful heart. The “brave debut album” (Entertainment Focus) follows her 2022 debut EP, Mood Swings, that earned her Artist To Watch nods from Amazon Music, Apple Music, Pandora, Spotify, YouTube, Music Row and CMT. The seven-song introduction features her viral, Platinum-certified hit, “Narcissist,” that she performed on the 2023 CMT Music Awards, where she was nominated for Breakthrough Artist of the Year, before making her morning TV debut on NBC’s TODAY. With more than 500 million global streams to date, the Arizona native has quickly become an in-demand touring artist, opening for country stars like Cole Swindell, Jordan Davis, BRELAND, Chase Rice and more. She is out on the road now for her Cool, Calm & Collected tour while also making appearances at multiple festivals throughout the summer.

Of her Jackson Hole debut, Anna said “I’m ready to rock out, sob, sing and connect. This new record is a little bit of everything that I love—rock, acoustic singer-songwriter, pop, country—all the kinds of music that have served as the soundtrack to my life over the past couple of years.”

“I’m thrilled to get to introduce Avery to Jackson,” Tolman said. “She is a young artist that I truly admire for her incredible writing talent, and unique delivery of songs- which has already been noticed by many around the world, with her huge success. As she continues her shooting-star trajectory, I’m positive that she’ll deliver an unforgettable show for Cowgirls at The Cowboy.
