Cowgirls at The Cowboy, the nation’s only all-female country music weekend, returns to Jackson Hole and the stage of the iconic Million Dollar Cowboy Bar on October 6th, 7th, and 8th for the second consecutive year. Nashville-based artist and Jackson Hole favorite, Jenny Tolman is once again curating the event designed to celebrate strong women in music. This year will feature six of the top established and emerging female singers and songwriters in recent country music history, continuing the tradition begun at last year’s inaugural event. Saturday night will feature full performances from Jenny Tolman’s band as well as one of the hottest duos in today’s country: Tigirlily Gold.
Comprised of sisters, Kendra and Krista, Tigirlily Gold has been playing music together since they could walk, and officially formed their band in high school. Growing up, they crisscrossed the mid-west, building a fierce fan base and selling out amphitheaters across their home-state of North Dakota. After moving to Nashville, they landed a weekly residency at Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row on Nashville’s famed lower Broadway. Playing four-hour sets, three to four nights a week, the sisters developed a performance style that’s not only captivating and fun but shows just how much entertaining is in their blood.
After releasing their original song “Somebody Does,” in 2021, the track topped the iTunes chart and Tigirlily Gold was signed to Monument Records. Working with multi-GRAMMY-Award Winning producer, Shane McAnally, the sisters released their self-titled, debut EP in July 2021, and hit the road with artists Walker Hayes and Ashley McBryde. Now, the powerhouse duo has embarked on a new musical chapter with their latest EP, Blonde – a deeply personal record that includes self-penned poignant tales of love and loss, alongside powerful anthems, and songs of female empowerment. The first release off the EP, “Shoot Tequila,” came out in January, continues to climb the charts, and has already found viral success with over 50 million views across social media.
Tolman said of the duo, “Ready to bring girl-group energy back to country music, not only is Tigirlily Gold poised for a breakout year, I could think of no better women to share the Saturday night stage with at Cowgirls!”
