With the release of their first project in June 2020, The Desert City Ramblers have made significant waves across the music industry despite the shutdown that gripped most of the nation. Rather than sitting idle, the 6-piece guitar-driven band released lots of music, including a self-titled, five-song EP, featuring the breakout single, “Hillbilly Rolling Stone,” that clearly showcases their great promise as original gritty southern-rockers steeped in the old school country songwriting tradition.
Comprising this musical effort are lead singer and principal songwriter, former Top 10 solo artist, Brian McComas; guitarist Scotty Bratcher; keyboard player Andy Smith; bassist Kieran Cronley; drummer Matt Salvo; and guitarist Bart Walker (who for years has served as lead guitarist in Hank Williams Jr.'s band). The Desert City Ramblers are burning up the road, taking these songs to a growing number of fans hungry for this genuine approach to music. They’re currently promoting their latest single, “Mountain Delight,” which was released June 3, 2021 on Crane Kick Records.
Cowboy Bar talent buyer Justin Smith said, “These guys are reminiscent of greats like early Black Crowes, Blackberry Smoke, The Marshall Tucker Band, and Lynyrd Skynyrd. They deliver super tight arrangements, Allman Brothers-style dueling guitars, and major swagger. Just like we’ve been able to do with other acts like Midland and Runaway June, we are so excited to be able to feature DCR at the beginning of what promises to be a long, successful career!”
While this show will be mostly general admission, a limited number of VIP tables will be available. Doors 7pm, Show 8pm. Must be 21+.
